Wisconsin Rural Water Association
At the time we were introduced, the Wisconsin Rural Water Association was using FrontPage to manage their website. While FrontPage is a useful tool in maintaining websites, it doesn't do so well when it comes to cross-browser compatibility.
WRWA wanted a fresh new look that was better organized and easier on the eyes. Since they currently managed their own website using FrontPage, they were happy to hear they would be able to continue managing their own website with a Content Management System.
The front page of this website is in a blog style. This allows WRWA to publish articles and categorize them based on content. These categories appear on the front page with the most recent articles first.
Updating this new website is a snap. No more creating and cross-linking files, no more broken image links, and no more overlapping elements. Not to mention that it works in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome.
We provided our famous user manual along with some in-person training, but it didn't take long before Kim at WRWA was editing articles and publishing content on her own!
Alzheimer's Association of Wisconsin
The Alzheimer's Association of Wisconsin sponsors a State Conference every year. This website hosts all the information related to this conference.
This project started as a group project during Ryan's final semester at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in his capstone class. With his group, Ryan took the color scheme from their existing HTML website and used that to create a Joomla! website that would be easy to update every year.
After the semester and after RS Web Development started, Ryan went back to this project to implement an online registration component. The existing registration process was bulky and not very secure at all. That process included faxing, email, snail mail, and lots of credit card numbers floating around. With the new registration process, users can select their tickets, choose options, and make payments through PayPal directly on the site. This system also automatically creates an Excel spreadsheet of the roster so you can see exactly how many people are registered and what options they selected.

Maggie from MHS Marketing wanted to start her own online business. She had definitely done her research and had all the business and marketing knowledge needed to succeed. The next step was to create a website where she could start selling her products.
